The MCG-40 has been described as the perfect beginner’s guitar. The CEQ model comes complete with soft cutaway and Fishman electronics. Like the rest of the MCG-40 range, it has a solid cedar soundboard with laminated mahogany back and sides. A wonderfully comfortable and playable mahogany neck is complemented by a rosewood fingerboard. The combination of cedar and mahogany is a popular combination with luthiers.
